In the warmer months, the magnificent landscape can be enjoyed wonderfully by hiking, because countless paths for every fitness level invite you to move in the soothing mountain air. For example, the 125 kilometer-long Lechweg, a certified long-distance hiking trail that offers especially attractive stages with diverse impressions of nature and breathtaking panoramas, offers hiking enjoyment at its best.
The course of the wildly romantic mountain river Lech is also accompanied by the 55-kilometer long Lech cycle path, which, like many other routes in the area, allows for beautiful cycling tours.
The Lechweg
The Lechweg offers a unique experience of nature, people shaped by the landscape, and stories steeped in legend. Hikers follow the Lech for around 125 kilometres, from its source near Lake Formarinsee in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg to the Lechfall waterfall in Füssen in the Allgäu.
